Before he became a legend in the industry and the Vice President of A&R at Century Media Records, Mike Gitter ran xXx Fanzine in the eighties. Gitter is now releasing a book called xXx Fanzine (1983-1988) Hardcore & Punk In The Eighties, which features reproductions of portions of the magazine from back in the day, as well as a kickass compilation of covers.
The compilation features Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach covering "Salad Days" by Minor Threat, Voivod doing Die Kreuzen's "Man In The Trees," Tombs tackling Samhain's "Kiss Of Steel," and a ton more. The book is coming soon, but you can stream the entire covers compilation below.
