Before Pantera released Cowboys From Hell in 1990, they were still a bit of a glam-ish metal band with progressively groovier leanings. Right before that major breakthrough in the new decade, Pantera took the stage with Slayer guitarist Kerry King on May 19, 1989 at Joe's Garage in Fort Worth, Texas, and broke out a rendition of Slayer's own "Raining Blood" from 1986.
So enjoy this transformative moment between glam and powerful groove metal, and secretly hope that Pantera maybe does some shows in the future.
