After much hype and ballyhoo, we are almost approaching the release date of the new album from Legend of Seagullmen.
The supergroup was formed by film director Jimmy Hayward, whose credits include Jonah Hex, Free Birds and Horton Hears a Who!. Hayward also plays guitar and recruited some friends, including Tool's Danny Carey and Mastodon's Brent Hinds amongst its ranks, and they have unveiled the entire album via Billboard today.
The songs have a bit of a Primus vibe to me initially, while eventually trailing off into its own sound. We'll have a proper review of the album later this week. The album drops on Friday, you can pre-order it on Amazon below.
