High On Fire revealed back in November they were writing the follow-up to 2015's Luminiferous, and now those songs are being laid down in the studio. High On Fire took to Facebook to announce they've hit the studio with legendary distortion god Kurt Ballou at his GodCity Studios and you can check out some of the evidence below. It also looks like bassist Jeff Matz is laying down some guitar in that first picture too.
Of course, now we wait for that sweet, sweet first single. I mean, it's High On Fire and Kurt Ballou. How could it possibly be bad?
