SYSTEM OF A DOWN Frontman To Appear On Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown

Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown will air an episode on May 20 where Bourdain heads to Armenia. Bourdain will be joined by historian and Armenian resident Richard Giragosian, as well as Armenian and System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian.

According to an official description of the episode, Bourdain will  be "breaking bread with Tankian at the restaurant Dolmama in Yerevan, during dinners with locals, the host explores the native and diaspora Armenian populations' survival and achievements against the odds."

Serj also commented on being a guide in the episode, as well as shared some pictures.

"So I guess the cats out of the bag about my trip to Armenia last year. Pictured next to me is one cool cat named @anthonybourdain. Catch us on his show @partsunknowncnn ‪on May 20‬ on @cnn as we cruise around Armenia in a sweet black Volga."

Tankian is keeping busy with projects outside of System of a Down, as he announced a new brand of Armenian-style coffee called Kavat. He spoke to Revolver about how that came about, you can watch that video here.
