Much like with their first single, "Over It," it's clear that Bullet for My Valentine are "over it" in regards to metalcore. I guess you can see they are letting metalcore go.
I guess I should stop with the puns, but anyway, the band dropped their new single "Letting You Go" today and it's a full-on hard rock radio anthem. Vocalist Matt Tuck described the song like this:
“‘Letting You Go‘ was a very challenging song to write in so many ways. It’s by far the most experimental track I’ve ever written musically and lyrically. I really wanted to make a track that stood out from the crowd and separated us from any other band in our genre, and that’s exactly what ‘Letting You Go‘ does.”

It definitely stands apart from the genre. Bullet for My Valentine's sixth studio album, Gravity, comes out June 29th. The band is currently touring with Trivium and Toothgrinder. Get the dates here.
