I am really digging everything Halestorm is putting out lately. They are pop-metal done right, in a time where we need more new, young fans in the scene. Their first single off the new album, "Uncomfortable" made me anything but, as it checked all the right marks for a great hard rock tune.
The band is back with another boundary-pushing single called "Do Not Disturb." The title is a play on the hotel door cards you are given when you don't want maid service to barge in, especially, in this case, when you're entering the bone zone.
And that's exactly what this song suggests it's about. Frontwoman Lzzy Hale sings about a foreign person who she invited to her room, so I assume within the context of the song, they are on tour overseas, and tells this person to put the "do not disturb" sign up because it's time for the horizontal mambo. How many bad sex euphemisms can I fit into one post? Take a listen:
