So in 1979, Led Zeppelin didn't feel like using backstage passes for their shows, opting instead for t-shirts. And, these shirts are apparently rare, the rarest Led Zep shirt in existance. Some idiot actually paid $10k for a t-shirt. Stop, think for a second. A piece of cotton is worth ten thousand dollars just because somebody screen-printed Led Zeppelin on it. The craziest part of the story is the seller of the shirt bought it for only $123 dollars (still sort of absurd, but in context not AS absurd as $10k) from a garage sale of the original printshop that made these suckers.
Hopefully, one day I will be rich enough to be able to just blow 10k on a t-shirt. Only you junkies can help me get there!! Refresh! Refresh! Refresh!! [via Ultimate-Guitar]
