HIGH ON FIRE Releases Killer New Track "Electric Messiah"

It's gooooooood!

It's gooooooood!

Just a few weeks back we reported High On Fire wrapped up a "really difficult" new release in the works, and with the snap a finger it looks like they're ready to roll out the campaign for the upcoming album, Electric Messiah, available via eOne on October 5th.

The title track, which can be found streaming right now at NPR, is a crushing upbeat song that sounds like a Motorhead / HOF baby produced by tone wizard, Kurt Ballou. There's really nothing not to like about the damn thing! That's probably why Matt Pike is so stoked on the album, as he comments below.

“This band keeps evolving,” Pike enthuses. “This is by far the best record I’ve ever made with the High on Fire stamp. It just keeps getting better and better. We just try to outdo ourselves. I’m not saying the old work is progressively worse, it’s just that we get better every time instead of burning out, which is a common finality for a lot of bands. This album is fucking excellent, I just love everything on it, I’m not bummed about anything. It’s great when you think that about your record.”
