It's not that I didn't get Irreversible Mechanism's 2015 debut album Infinite Fields, it's just that it was pretty generic. Inoffensively generic, but generic nonetheless. It seems as though between the lineup changes and three years between albums, Irreversible Mechanism has gotten way better.
Their new song "Abolution" is really well done, especially in marrying solid melodies and insane technicality, and has me pretty stoked to hear the rest of the album. Immersion is out September 14.
