Old Man Gloom decided to soldier on with tribute live shows and eventual new record after the tragic passing of bassist Caleb Scofield earlier this year. The tribute shows are still sporadically happening around the world, and now the new record appears to be materializing as well.
This will be Old Man Gloom's first effort since The Ape of God in 2014, both of 'em. Who knows what Old Man Gloom will decide to fool fans with this time around but it'll probably be fantastic. If you're unfamiliar, Old Man Gloom announced a new album called The Ape of God in 2014 and sent out promo copies to press outlets. It then turned out Old Man Gloom was releasing two albums named The Ape of God and the review copy was just a compilation/edited version of the two together.
People were pissed, but it was amazing.
