Megadeth vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine recently revealed his diagnosis of throat cancer. His statement remained positive, saying he's already in treatment and noted that doctors feel there is a 90% success rate of the care he's currently undergoing. Mustaine understandably pointed out "this requires that we cancel most shows this year. The 2019 Megacruise will happen, and the band will be a part of it in some form," though did say the new album would still be happening.
Now in a brief new video, Mustaine thanks his friends, family, and the best fans in the world for being supportive in his time of need. We wish Mustaine all the best and a very successful, as-easy-as-possible treatment.
