Last week, we were shocked to learn that Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine was diagnosed with throat cancer. The metal community came out in droves to show their support, which Dave clearly appreciated very much. While Megadeth have had to cancel their tour plans for the year, Mustaine isn't just sitting around. He's back in the studio.
With Megadeth working on their next album, Mustaine isn't about to slow things down. He was in the studio today, as evidenced by this photo:
Drummer Dirk Verbeuren shared the post with the caption "@davemustaine working on #megaalbum16 like a true warrior. Let's keep Dave and his family in our thoughts."
It's great to see Mustaine up and about and I am now very curious as to what the band is up to for their next album. This will be the first with Verbeuren behind the kit, and they've hinted at some blast beats in the past.
