RAMMSTEIN Members Kiss On Stage In Russia To Protest Government's Anti-LGBT Stance

Rammstein causing controversy? Never!

Ever ones to put themselves in the controversial spotlight, Rammstein has made a pretty bold statement on stage in Russia. The band played Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on July, right after the opening song "Aüslander", kissed each other to purposefully defy the country's anti-LGBT laws. The Russian laws, "for the Purpose of Protecting Children from Information Advocating for a Denial of Traditional Family Values" strictly forbids anything that "raises interest in" such relationships or "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships."

Rammstein posted a photo of the happening on their Instagram and captioned it "Россия, мы любим тебя!" or "Russia, we love you!" This shouldn't be even remotely surprising, as Rammstein began causing controversy right out of the gate when promoting their new self-titled album with their debut music video.

One fan posted footage of the protest on their Twitter as well. Rammstein will be touring Europe in 2020, and I'm sure we'll be posting more about whatever they managed to surprised crowds with as it happens.

Update: There seems to be some debate about Rammstein's intentions, so to make it clear, here's a photo of Rammstein's drummer from the show:
