Max Cavalera does not sleep. In the last four years, he has released four new albums, both with Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy. Next year will mark the fifth consecutive year that he puts out new music, this time under the Soulfly moniker. Roadrunner Records announced today that Soulfly will be releasing their eighth album, Enslaved on March 13, 2012. The album was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris at Tallcat Studios in Phoenix, Arizona.
Max loves collaborations and this album will see some guest vocals from Dez of Devildriver, as well as Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation. There will also be a track with a guest violinist. Additionally, Max is keeping it all in the family, collaborating on a track, "Revengeance", with his three sons. Cavalera wrote a song about his slain stepson Dana Wells. He partners with his sons Igor and Richie on vocals, while his other son Zyon plays drums.
