NAPALM DEATH Is Almost Ready To Put Out A New Record Despite "Unforeseen Circumstances"

"We've been kind of promising something for quite a while, but unforeseen circumstances kind of got in the way."

Napalm-Death-2014

All we know about the new Napalm Death record is that it's in the works, there will be some cover songs, and there's also an accompanying split to go along with it at some point. The record will be Napalm Death's follow-up to their 2015 album Apex Predator – Easy Meat, and yes – it's almost here.

In a new interview with Heavy New York, vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway says the band suffered some setbacks along with way including a recent one, though promises the record is almost ready to be put out.

"We've been kind of promising something for quite a while, but unforeseen circumstances kind of got in the way. And this one has taken a lot longer. We're all good with that now — we've kind of accepted the fact that it has taken quite a while. And recently, there was also a couple of other small delays — minor things — here and there. But, yeah, we're almost ready to put it out.

"Overall, I'm not particularly pleased with myself that it's taken this long, from my contribution to it. But it is what it is."

Napalm Death will soon tour the United States without bassist Shane Embury. Get tickets to see the band live here.
