Never leave your job until you have a new one lined up. That's what my mother taught me, and it's clearly advice taught to Matt DeVries. DeVries announced he was leaving Six Feet Under last week, and today we found out why. Dude is the new bassist in Fear Factory. If you're wondering what happened to previous FF bassist, Byron Stroud, dude is now in 3 Inches of Blood full time. DeVries commented on joining the band saying:
“I have been asked by Dino and Burton to join one of my favorite bands. I have been a fan of Fear Factory since 1992 and I could not be more excited to be part of this incredible band. We have shared the stage many times together and now I’m beyond stoked to be on the same stage playing together. Thank you to all my fans worldwide for sticking by me and I will be seeing you all on the road very soon.”
Everybody's pumped! If you're wondering why FF need a new bassist, it's because those guys are working on a new album. In fact, they just finished recording it, according to this tweet by Dino:
We are done tracking for the new FF and we already started mixing "THE INDUSTRIALIST"

New album, The Industrialist and a new bassist? Sounds like business has just picked up for Fear Factory in 2012.
