What If METALLICA's "Battery" Was On The Black Album?

Spoiler – it would shred real hard.

Metallica went full-on progressive and fast as all hell on their 1988 album …And Justice For All. The effort was their first without bassist Cliff Burton and noted a pretty hard turn in the band's sound, as well as a record that went intentionally bass-less. But that's extremely well documented at this point.

Anyway! YouTuber StateOfMercury reimagined the band's pre-…And Justice For All material as if it were written for the album, and it shreds way hard.

You might remember StateOfMercury as the person who did this very same experiment with Metallica's massive 1991 hit "Enter Sandman." Which was awesome, but these are just a whole new level.
