Crowbar vocalist and guitarist Kirk Windstein said when writing his new solo album Dream In Motion that it'd be "mellow, dark music" that isn't acoustic. Going along with that mood is the album closer, a cover of Jethro Tull's 1971 classic "Aqualung." It's a great mix between Windstein's usual gloomy heaviness and staying true to the original riffs, and also serves as a callback to older times in Crowbar.
"'Aqualung' has always been one of my favorite classic rock songs. Crowbar used to cover it. I’m really proud of the way the song came out as a whole and I hope that [Tull’s] Ian Anderson and Martin Barre get to hear it at some point."
Windstein will release Dream In Motion on January 24. Crowbar is currently in the studio for a new album.
