The Melvins always know how to keep busy, and busy they will be this Spring as they embark on a tour with Unsane. They will be on the road celebrating two upcoming releases. First up, a new five-song Scion A/V presented free EP called The Bulls & the Bees, which will be available as a free download next week. Two tracks from release have already surfaced for streaming here and here. Their other release is where it gets interesting…
The original half of the Melvins, Buzz Osbourne and Dale Crover are releasing a seperate project they're calling the Melvins Lite, which won't feature the members of Big Business on the album, but WILL feature new collaborator, bassist Trevor Dunn (of Tomahawk fame) and they will be putting out a release called Freak Puke on June 5th on Ipecac.
So like I said, the Melvins know how to keep busy, and I can't wait to see them live performing some new material when the hit the road with Unsane. If you've never seen the Melvins live, this is truly an unmissable experience. Go see them!
