GWAR are some of the hardest working professional musicians I have ever met. These guys focus on every aspect of presentation and also make crushing music at the same time. You would think with the tragic death of their guitarist Cory Smoot, aka Flattus Maximus, that would stop them but it seems it has inspired them to keep the GWAR train rolling. The band issued the following update:
"Like any band worth its salt, GWAR is constantly working on new songs. What's different now is that the band has its own in-house recording studio/jam space, so everything they do is tracked. There is no release date, no gory details but rest assured of one thing… GWAR is working on a new album, and it will be a tribute to their lost Scumdog brother,Flattus Maximus!"
Pretty amazing. The band is also set to go out on a massive Spring tour, and have announced another benifit show for Smoot's family, the details of which can be seen in the flyer below:
