We have been patiently waiting for new music from A Life Once Lost for quite a while now. These guys have been busy writing new material, and were all set to release new music last year until ultimately deciding to scrape everything and start from scratch. Now they are ready to head back in the studio, it seems. The band have set April 10th as the date they begin recording their new album, with a release expected this fall from Seasons of the Mist.
It's crazy to think that ALOL have totally missed this djent explosion with bands like Periphery, Tesseract and Textures all doing virtually what ALOL was doing many years ago, before it was cool. It's as if ALOL's genre is hipster djent. Either way, I can't wait to hear new music from these guys!
