Some friends really have weird requests of what do with their ashes, it seems. While traditionally, you could expect ashes to be put in an urn, spread in a happy place, or at sea – perhaps a new trend will begin of ashes spread at a gig.
Dakota Young died unexpectedly, but his memory will live on forever. His friends attended the February 11th Mr. Bungle show in New York City and his pals took his ashes, wrapped them in a pair of underwear and tossed them up on stage to be with Mike Patton and crew.
Of course there is video, and the fine folks at MetalSucks have it:
Watch a Mr. Bungle fan throw his dead friend’s ashes (wrapped in a pair of his underwear) up on stage during the band’s show, as fitting a final resting place as we can imagine. R.I.P. Dakota Young. pic.twitter.com/ePY4BJupI4

We hope the Young family gets a bit of joy out of this moment. RIP Dakota!
