Earlier this year, the media were giving credit to Democratic nominee Pete Buttigeg for being the first openly gay man to run for president – not so fast, says Joe Exotic, star of the Netflix docu-series, Tiger King, who plotted a Presidential campaign in 2016. After that failed, Joe Exotic tried to run for governor of Oklahoma and was hoping to get some big time endorsements, including from a famous shock rocker.
Marilyn Manson recently shared a screen shot with his Instagram followers revealing a direct message Exotic sent to him. Exotic stated "Hey. Thanks for the follow. I’m running for governor of Oklahoma and trying to speak for the real people for a change and get some people help with addiction in this State that no one cares about. Would you endorse me? Not asking for money. Just to use your name as an endorsement."
Manson did not respond, and the screenshot shows there was another interaction a few weeks later but we don't see what was said. Manson posted the screenshot with the caption "Nope. Don’t Fuck With Cats."
The internet has exploded with curiosity about the big cat game ever since Tiger King was released, and we learned of connections to Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and of course Carole Baskin's questionable treatment of her late first husband.
