Ozzy Osbourne seems pissed off about what's going on in America lately. That's why, for the first time, in as long as I can remember, Ozzy has been trashing the current U.S. President. Ozzy has called Trump a fool, and noted "there's not much hope left" and on his SiriusXM show, Ozzy discussed Trump's response to COVID-19.
Speaking on his Ozzy Speaks show on SiriusXM’s Ozzy’s Boneyard, and he spoke about the current situation and pleaded with fans to listen to experts. “Whether you like the government or whether you don’t, whatever, Dr. Fauci, all these virologist people, they [tell] us what we should do: wear a mask, wash hands, social distance…”
He then joked that the one person not to listen to is Trump. “I don’t go anywhere. If the president says something, I do the opposite. ’Cause he changes his mind every hour. I mean, literally. I’m going, ‘What?’”
During an interview with Rolling Stone last week, Ozzy said he has never seen anything like the lack of response to the pandemic.
"In my lifetime, I’ve never known anything like this,” Osbourne says. “It’s getting worse, not better. And this guy’s acting like a fool. I don’t really like to talk politics that much, but I’ve got to say what I feel with this guy. There’s not much hope left. Maybe he’s got a trick up his sleeve and he’s going to surprise us all, and I hope he has. [Recently], over a thousand more people died in one day [in America]. That’s fucking crazy. People got to get with this social distancing and mask-wearing or else it’s never gonna go away.”
Ozzy called out Trump last year for using his song "Crazy Train" without the proper permission. Ozzy noted he did not want his song used by the Trump campaign.
Interestingly, back in March, before the pandemic really hit, Ozzy predicted Trump would be re-elected. We're wondering if he still feels the same way.
