When Axl Rose filled in on vocals for AC/DC, rumors began swirling that Rose would record an album with the legendary Aussie rockers. But in a new interview, Angus Young reveals that not to be the case.
In a new interview Total Guitar, Angus Young points out Axl Rose has plenty on his plate and wouldn't even have time to devote to recording an album.
“[Making an album with Axl] never really came up. Axl was really very generous, and he helped us out to get through our touring side at a difficult spot. He had contacted us and said he could help if it didn’t interfere with his own commitments of what he was going. He wanted to come in and try songs that he himself liked, and he was suggesting songs I hadn’t played in a long time. I’m definitely grateful that he volunteered, and that had helped us finish off our commitment. But he has his own life.”
I imagine it had to at least have been talked about after longtime AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson was worried he would never be able to perform again, and might lose his hearing. Thankfully, that wasn't the case.
