New York Allowing Limited Capacity Concerts Again in April

Tickets might be hard to come by.

Concerts are coming back to New York, just a little smaller.

According to Governor Andrew Cuomo during a press conference, concerts and performances can resume on April 2. All venues hosting performances can only operate at 33% capacity, with a 100 person indoor limit and 200 person outdoor limit. All attendees must wear masks and social distance.

The New York Times points out that these limits will be raised to 150 and 550 if the venues provide testing, and the patrons all test negative.

It should be noted that as of right now, New York is averaging 38 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people. The national average is 20 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people. Still, at least New York has a plan unlike Texas, where Greg Abbott basically threw his hands up and proclaimed "fuck it" at the top of his lungs.
