ATTILA's Chris Fronzak Denies "Metalcore Manson" References MARILYN MANSON

Whoops?

Attila released their new song "Metalcore Manson" last week, which everyone assumed was in reference to Marilyn Manson. Vocalist Chris Fronzak has since taken to Twitter to let everyone know that the song was actually referencing Charles Manson and not Marilyn Manson.

Except for the fact that the "Metalcore Manson" artwork is a clearly direct reference in both color scheme and font to Manson's Portraits Of An American Family album and the associated "Get Your Gunn" single cover (and shirt). Here's the proof:

Though this isn't to say there aren't potential references to Charles Manson either, specifically with "Killed the fucking game, call me 'Metalcore Manson'" chorus lyrics. All I'm saying is that the cover art, at the very least, is pretty clearly a Marilyn Manson reference, and to deny that is just lying.

This of course is all very poor timing for Attila, considering Manson and his ex-manager Tony Ciulla are being sued by Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco for violating human sex trafficking laws. Manson has since called these accusations "provably false". The LA Sheriff's Department is currently looking into Manson over various claims, while actress Bianca Allaine recently met with the FBI over allegations against Marilyn Manson.
