The two sons of Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme have filed for a protective order against their father, claiming physical and emotional abuse. Update: Two separate judges (in Los Angeles and Santa Monica) have rejected the request for a restraining order.
TMZ reports the orders for 10-year-old Orrin and 5-year-old Wolf were filed by their mother, Brody Dalle, saying that they are scared that Homme is going to hurt them.
In the filing, Orrin claims that Homme drinks alcohol while driving with them in the car and alleges there was a recent incident where Homme grabbed his private parts. Orrin acuses Homme of physical abuse – poking his chest, hitting his head, flicking his ears, and emotional abuse like calling him fat and claiming he will kill Brody's boyfriend.
Wolf also claims he has been with Homme in a car while he's drinking and driving, grabs their necks and ears, curses his mother out and Wolf is afraid to go to his dad's house.
The order requests that Homme stay at least 100 yards away from them and the family dog.
Homme and Dalle have been divorced since late 2019. Dalle already has a restraining order against Homme.
Homme's lawyer tells TMZ "Ms. Dalle has previously brought these claims to the police, DCFS, and the presiding judge of the family law court, all of whom have declined to take any action based upon these spurious claims."
In an updated statement, Homme's lawyer says “The allegations made by Ms. Dalle against Mr. Homme are categorically false. In order to protect the children, we will not be making any further statements.”
