After a handful of EPs and splits since 2014, psych-heavy metal purveyors Kurokuma has announced their long-awaited debut full-length album Born Of Obsidian. The album digs deep into the ancient history of major Mesoamerican civilizations, and we're more than stoked to stream the first single "Jaguar" in reference to the Olmec culture.

"This one was written as more of an incantation than a standard song," said Kurokuma. "The jaguar was the most powerful creature for the Olmecs. There were Olmec shamans who, it was believed, could transform into a jaguar, and this piece is meant to provide the soundtrack for such a ceremony."

Born Of Obsidian was recorded in London with Sanford Parker (Yob, Eyehategod, Indian) at Narcissus Studio, and is available for pre-order here.
