Guns N' Roses is planning a deluxe reissue of their 1991 albums Use Your Illusion I & II for next summer. In an interview with Biff Bam Pop!, Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash revealed the reissue got delayed by the pandemic but is still in the works. Plus, who knows? Maybe we'll get some rare material on the reissue like we did on Appetite For Destruction: Locked N' Loaded in 2018.
"It got delayed by the pandemic but it is coming out, I think this summer," said Slash. "There's a bunch of cool live stuff on it — a couple shows. The Ritz from the '90s, like early '90s, and a show that we did in Las Vegas back in 1989, I think it was. And it's actually the show that I met my ex-wife at, so I was really hard-pressed to even do the fucking record."
Guns N' Roses is currently re-recording some old material to put out, like "Absurd" and "Hard Skool." Slash touched on the potential for new Guns N' Roses music in a recent interview, saying there hasn't been much focused writing for it yet.
"As far as [Guns N' Roses] is concerned, we haven't even gotten to that point of really in earnest sitting down and writing. We've been doing a lot of material that's been sort of sitting around for a while. So that will be a whole focused endeavor unto itself."
