Halestorm is now streaming their new single "The Steeple" alongside the announcement of their appropriately-named first new record in four years Back From The Dead. The record has been in the works since at least 2020 and according to vocalist Lzzy Hale, was heavily colored by the pandemic in terms of lyrics.
"We started writing this album about three months B.C. (Before COVID)," said Hale. "Once we went into lockdown and were unable to perform and tour, I fell into a dark place and something of an identity crisis. This album is the story of me carving myself out of that abyss. It is a journey of navigating mental health, debauchery, survival, redemption, rediscovery, and still maintaining faith in humanity."
Back From The Dead was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Mastodon, Alice In Chains) and co-produced by Scott Stevens (Shinedown, Daughtry, New Years Day). The record also features the title track "Back From The Dead" released in Summer 2021.
