Foo Fighters has cancelled all their upcoming tour dates in the wake of drummer Taylor Hawkins' death. Hawkins passed away suddenly over the weekend at 50 years old.

"It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together."

Hawkins impressive résumé over the years included drumming for Foo Fighters from 1997 to present day, as well as forming his own bands like Taylor Hawkins And The Coattail Riders and NHC featuring Jane's Addiction members Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney. Hawkins also drummed on Coheed & Cambria's 2006 album Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two, and his own solo EP Kota in 2016.

"The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins," said Foo Fighters in a statement the night Hawkins passed away. "His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time."
