Extol originally existed between 1993 and 2007. The band then reunited in 2012 and released what is currently their final record Extol in 2013. Though it looks like maybe we're due for another one nearly 10 years later?
The Extol Facebook page shared a post by Christer Espevoll showing himself, Peter Espevoll, Ole Børud and David Husvik in what looks like a studio. If this really is a reunion and the band really is working on a new record, it'll be especially great considering Extol (the album) was only a trio minus Christer. It's also worth noting that Extol is definitely one of the most underrated metal bands of all time, and you need to go listen to basically any of their albums right now (I personally suggest Undeceived ).
Since Extol, the band's members have been pretty busy with their own projects that are definitely worth your time as well. Husvik and Christer both play in Azusa alongside former The Dillinger Escape Plan bassist Liam Wilson and Sea+Air vocalist Eleni Zafiriadou, while Børud released (so far just one) heavy album with Fleshkiller in 2017.
