I'm pretty interested in the upcoming Soundgarden album, King Animal due November 13th. Soundgarden defined my teen years and overall, were always the heaviest band to come out of the Seattle scene, maybe only second to Alice In Chains. Will their album match the awesomeness of Alice In Chains amazing Black Gives Way To Blue release? After hearing the second new track from the album (first one here), I am having my doubts:

It's very middle of the road for me. I guess I'd have to check out these songs live. The band has announced a series of intimate shows, which I am super-excited about.
Fans who pre-order "King Animal" before 11:59 p.m. PST on November 7 will be sent a password which allows access to the on-sale on November 8 at 12 p.m. local time for the shows at Irving Plaza in New York, Phoenix Concert Theater in Toronto and The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, and there is no guarantee a password will get you tickets. Additionally, there will be a public on-sale that will begin at 10 a.n. local time on Friday, November 9.
That's really cool of the band. Irving Plaza houses maybe 1,000 people, so it will be as intimate as Soundgarden's been in a while.
Here is the band discussing the track "Non-State Actor"
