Bummer news for people excited to see The Acacia Strain on their current co-headlining tour with Veil of Maya. The band was forced to drop off their tour after an accident involving their van. Driving in the wintery snow can be incredibly hazardous. Here's the band's official statement:
UPDATE: The band just posted the attached photo with the message:
As you can see, we will not be able to finish our tour with Veil of Maya. We are very sorry and, again, we will make this up to you all. Please support VEIL OF MAYA, Upon A Burning Body, Volumes, and Twitching Tongues on the rest of the tour.
Original story as follows:
"It comes with heavy hearts and sadness to announce that The Acacia Strain will be leaving their Co-Headlining tour with Veil Of Maya due to a serious van accident. Members of the band and crew are being treated for minor injuries, nothing serious.
Frontman, Vincent Bennett commented, “Canceling tour dates is something we hate doing but we will make it up to all of you. We are all very grateful to be alive and will see you in the New Year.”
This Or The Apocalypse posted a status on their Facebook page shedding some light on the situations saying:
Tis the sesason for some of our best friends unfortunately to be struck with wintery disasters. Acacia Strain just got in another accident, someone T-Boned them doing 80…
A t-bone is a "side collision." We are happy to hear the band is okay and will be back in the new year. Remaining dates for the Veil of Maya tour can be found here.
