Long-running German folk metal band Equilibrium has parted ways with vocalist Robse, who fronted the band between 2010 and present day. Robse's final effort with the band was their 2021 single "XX." Equilibrium confirms they will carry on with either a new vocalist or guest vocalist for their coming shows, and does not plan on canceling any appearances.
"Last year marked 20 years of music creation for us, alongside worldwide adventures, and the incredible opportunity to be a part of your musical journey. Throughout these two decades, we've developed, progressed, and matured, not only as individuals but as a band.
"In recent years we started to grow a sense that what once felt like a great symbiosis of musicians, developed in ways that didn't feel right in the same way that it used to. After several conversations and with an extremely heavy heart, our decision was that Equilibrium and Robse would part ways.
We understand that some of you might be frustrated with this change, but a change is also a chance. Since day one our goal has been to deliver the best musical experience that we can. Rest assured that we will do our very best to fulfill this goal in the future and take it to another level.
"All announced and confirmed shows will be played, either with a guest vocalist or a new Equilibrium member. We are extremely grateful and will forever treasure all the unforgettable moments that we've shared with Robse throughout the years, and we wish him all the best with his future projects.
"Having said that, we have already started to work on exciting new material and can't wait to share it with you."
