KISS & DISTURBED Members Call Out KANYE WEST Over Anti-Semitic Remarks

West's tweet is inexcusable.

Let's get this out of the way right up top – Kanye West needs help. But regardless of needing help, making anti-Semitic comments is inexcusable and dangerous. For those out of the loop, or generally ignoring the dude these days, Kanye hopped on Twitter recently to let everyone know that he's "a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE." And no matter if he meant "DEFCON" or "death con," it's still horrendous.

The tweet caught the eye of both Kiss guitarist Paul Stanley and Disturbed vocalist David Draiman, who condemned West's statement in no uncertain terms (as they should). "Mental Illness IS a disease but should NEVER be used to minimize the danger of hate speech, advocating anti-semitism and violence against religions or ethnicities," said Stanley in a tweet. "We have found ways over centuries to rationalize this behavior and viewed the atrocities that followed. SPEAK UP!"

"Between Joe Rogan not calling Roger Waters out on his antisemitic bullshit, Kanye West going on an antisemitic rant, and then Elon Musk congratulating his friend (Kanye) on his Twitter reinstatement, it’s been a rough week for us Jews," added Draiman.

The tweet has since been taken down, though West's opinion is clearly not being condemned by certain parties… which is fucking disappointing, if I'm being blunt.

West has always had a weird presence in the metal world, though generally controversial. West has made headlines previously this year for continuously working with Marilyn Manson on a new record, while metal album cover artist Denis Forkas Kostromitin (BehemothChildren Of BodomWolves In The Throne Room) got into a legal dispute with West's legal team over allegations of plagiarism.
