Haken have announced their seventh studio album Fauna—described as their "most genre-busting and conceptually fascinating album to date"—is upon us, with Fauna becoming available everywhere on March 3.
The band had this message for fans, via statement: "We had such a great time in North America earlier this year, and can't wait to return for a headline tour with our new album – Fauna!"
With the announcement of album and tour, a second single and video from Fauna was released—"The Alphabet of Me"—which you can check out below.
About the album, vocalist Ross Jennings has said "The premise of the album when we started writing it was that every song would have an animal assigned to it. They all have something related to the animal kingdom that we could write about, but they also connect to the human world. Each track has layers, and some of them are more obvious than others.”
The tour will begin on May 3 in Nashville and wrap up on June 3 in Chicago. Arch Echo will be joining Haken as support. You can check out all confirmed dates below. I’m actually eyeing the venue-slash-show palace Le Poisson Rouge in NYC as the perfect place to go and watch Haken get real synthy.
