The early days of the pandemic were a great time to accomplish all the stuff you've been meaning to accomplish. For Mushroomhead bassist Ryan Farrell, that meant going to Cleveland State University and getting his Master of Music in Composition.
"I'm a huge advocate for education – I mean, obviously with [me] coming back to school and everything," said Farrell in the above video. "I want my message to that it's okay to listen to Slayer and Mozart. It's all music, but you don't have to just be some dude with a guitar in a band. You can learn music. You could learn whatever you want, but I think it's important for everyone to take it as far as they can.
"Education to me is key right now and I want to be a strong advocate for that, and [to hopefully be] a role model for people who think 'oh man, it's never too late. Maybe I can go and get a degree in something I've always wanted to' or maybe 'I'm doing this one thing' but you can do both. Whatever it is in life, just do it to the fullest and just do it with passion, and just don't limit yourself."
