NAPALM DEATH Cancel Sound System Disintegration Show

Sorry to have to be the one that dashes your hopes and dreams.

A few days ago, we wrote about how Napalm Death were going to perform while disintegrating a live sound system. Well that sucks, doubly so for anyone who was planning on going. According to the venue:

It is with regret that we have taken the decision to cancel the one-off Napalm Death performance in collaboration with our ceramic artist in residence Keith Harrison on Friday, 22 March. This was due to take place in the Europe Galleries, which are currently being refurbished, and a further safety inspection has revealed concerns that the high level of decibels generated by the performance would damage the historic fabric of the building.

Dang… that's a shame too. I'm not one for the whole "artsy-fartsy X represents Y"-type stuff, but this seemed like a pretty cool thing to do. Maybe they'll figure out how and where to do it again in the future, and I'm still hopeful they'll get the whole thing filmed professionally. Wouldn't that be sick? Live Napalm Death DVD with a bonus "destroying the whole place" bonus for y'all! Beyond that sucking- catch them figuratively destroying sound systems at one of the below dates:
