What If OPETH Wrote METALLICA'S "Enter Sandman"?

"Try singing it like you're inside a banana."

You know here at Metal Injection we love a good "What if X covered Y?" video. And sure, YouTuber Devinplayeverything has done a particularly bang up job on this version of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" in the style of progressive death metal champs Opeth. It touches on all the bases the dudes from Stockholm do best: dark melodies, sharp death metal vocals, and doom-ish hooks.

But, spoiler alert! Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree—who produced Blackwater Park (2001), Deliverance (2002) and Damnation (2003) along with Opeth—makes an appearance here, as well! Well, maybe he does, anyway. It's too early for April Fool's, so you will just have to watch the video to see what we mean. Check it out just above.

By the way, if you're into these stylistic remakes from musicians across the internet, below are a few of our favorites, if you'd like to check them out!
