Well, here's a new one – a venue just straight up printed a Born Of Osiris shirt without their permission and was selling it. The shirt features logos from Born Of Osiris (the most prominent one) above bands like Devourment, Within Destruction, and Vulvodynia under the banner "EDM Sucks."
"Venue today printed this corny ass T-shirt without our permission…" wrote Born Of Osiris guitarist Lee McKinney. "They must not have noticed all of the edm inspired keyboard/synth work in our music. Im hoping nobody buys these and they end up in the trash."
The shirt is confusing for a few reasons:
- Born Of Osiris is currently out on the road in Asia with Within Destruction, Knosis, and Vulvodynia. Not Devourment and not whatever that bottom right logo is. So… it's a mystery
- Even if some of those bands are playing the venue, why take a shot at EDM? I mean, I personally don't like it either, but… having a shirt with a bunch of random bands proclaiming the genre sucks on it is weird
- Why is this happening? Why is a venue printing bootleg merch?
- How long will it take until this shows up on Shirts That Go Hard?
When asked y one fan what the deal with the shirt is, McKinney simply responded "Happens randomly in other countries idk why." So here's hoping nobody bought these.
