STAIND Returns With First New Single In 12 Years

It's been awhile, hasn't it?

staind 2021

Staind, the band you couldn't escape in the early 2000s with songs like "It's Been Awhile" "So Far Away", is back with a new one called "Lowest In Me". It's more radio rock than the aforementioned ballad, and probably isn't going to win them any new fans – you're either on that emotionally driven, "hurt tough guy" Staind train or you're not at this point.

"I did want to modernize the sound and bring us up to date," vocalist Aaron Lewis said. "You can certainly recognize the band but at the same time you can hear that we've been paying attention and understand what kind of sounds and approaches we can use that maybe weren't around the last time we did this."

Adds guitarist Mike Mushok, "It’s undeniably Aaron’s voice, and same for the songs. We got together and spent a lot of time focusing on direction, and we really like how it turned out."

Staind will release Confessions Of The Fallen on July 18. Pre-orders are available here. Staind will hit the road with Godsmack this July. Get tickets here.
