So, aspiring musicians out there, what's your excuse? I ask because Asthâghul is set to release his second full-length release of 2023 in May. Actually, it's not just a standard full-length like the excellent Funeral. No. It's called Astraal Constellations Of The Majickal Zodiac and … IT'S GOING TO BE A TRIPLE ALBUM. THREE DISCS. I've heard it, and believe me, he is not phoning in a single thing. It's all incredible.
So with that in mind, we're are happy to premiere "Tȃimonh Ѳx," the fourth song on the first disc, In The Mystic Trance of Tȃimonh Ѳx, the Cosmic Bull God. Apparently, the song has particular resonance with the cover art. We heard from Asthâghul, who kindly provided us some helpful context into how the song fits into his artistic world:
"Under the inspiration of a telepsychic wave coming from an entity named Tȃiɱonh Ѳx, the sign comes. It arises from a secret constellation populated with being hissing cone-shaped. He directs his legions of minds in order to control a forbidden practice called Ѳxphiliastisme. The cycle of reincarnation is guided by the bull of ecstatic devotion. Through edifice constructed by triangles of levitation, the great end of the physical era will be established by the servants of the apostles of the bizarre Gods. Abductions will be carried out under the seal of silence. This song is an ode to the magnificence of suffering through the ages of the etheric infinity of the great orgic sabbath of multi-dimensional reality-slaying God."
…but of course!
Astraal Constellations Of The Majickal Zodiac drops on May 12 via I, Voidhanger Records. I'll be reviewing this masterpiece soon, once I pinch myself enough times to make sure I'm not in a different dimension.
