Good news and bad news! The good news is that Inferi has a brand new single called "Eyes Of Boundless Black" and a new guitarist, Sanjay Kumar (Wormhole, Equipoise, Greylotus). The bad news is that longtime guitarist Mike Low is out of the picture, though he'll still be working with Inferi in some capacity.
As for that new song, it's a ripper for sure. As Inferi tends to do. Check it out below alongside a very arcade-heavy video.
"After countless shows, dozens of riffs, and over a decade of service, we bid farewell to our brother Mike Low," said Inferi. "An excellent guitarist, engineer, producer, and all-around awesome friend. Though we'll continue to work together, albeit in a different capacity, we wish Mike the best that the world has to offer.
"In his stead, we welcome our good friend Sanjay Kumar (Wormhole, Equipoise, Greylotus) to Inferi. Sanjay is a tremendous talent and has already stoked the fires of creativity within the band."
Low added: "After much thought, I've made the very tough decision to leave Inferi. I haven't enjoyed touring as much as I used to, so it doesn't feel right to keep on going. I'm still going to miss being out on the road with the dudes, but it's time for me to focus on some other things in life.
"A million thanks and hugs go to Malcolm, Spencer, Andrew, and Stevie for being the best bandmates to share the stage and travel with. I'm extremely thankful for all of the amazing opportunities that have been presented to me over the years. I never would have imagined that things turned out the way they did after we put out The Path of Apotheosis.
"I'll be using the extra time now to take charge of some opportunities that have arisen in the past couple of years in the production realm. Cheers and see ya around!"
