YOB Parts Ways With Their Drummer

Travis Foster is out.

Yob

Yob has parted ways with drummer Travis Foster. According to a statement from Yob, they and Foster have reached a mutual agreement after Foster had not been able to join the band on tour over the past year. No replacement has been announced, though Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth drummer Dave French has been filling Foster's position at live shows over the past year.

"As many of you know, Travis has been unable to join us on the road over the past year," wrote Yob. "We have talked regularly over that time and after many discussions, we have reached the decision to part ways. We love Travis like a brother and cherish everything he has brought to the band over almost two decades together. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors."

Foster drummed for Yob between 2003 and 2006, and then again between 2009 and present day. In the meantime, Yob is reissuing their 2002 debut album Elaborations Of Carbon physically on September 15. The digital version of the reissue is out now and is available here.

"At long last, Elaborations Of Carbon is available to anyone who wants it, and on vinyl no less!" said Yob frontman Mike Scheidt. "It's wild that Elaborations Of Carbon was first released over 20 years ago, counting the 4-song burned CD-R version we handed out to friends before releasing the 6-song album. We were swinging for the rafters, and gave it everything we had. It's been a blast to revisit this album and remember all of the good times we had."
