Pantera is continuing their trend of having guest vocalists join them on stage for "Walk", and this time it's a double dose. Mastodon vocalist and guitarist Brent Hinds and Lamb Of God singer Randy Blythe joined Pantera during their September 12 show at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA to really drive home that chorus. Check out fan-filmed footage above.
As for previous guests, so far the list is:
- Mayhem vocalist Attila Csihar
- Testament vocalist Chuck Billy
- Satyricon vocalist Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven
- Blythe and Dimebag Darrell's longtime girlfriend Rita Haney
Pantera has a handful of remaining tour dates coming up for 2023, all closed out by their appearance at Aftershock. Then it's on to a few opening slots for Metallica in 2024 and maybe new material? According to Pantera drummer Charlie Benante in a 2022 interview, the topic of new material likely wouldn't even come up until touring was over (if it ever came up at all).
"Oh man… who knows?" he said. "Creatively, if we are just flowing and getting going, and things are starting to be really good, musically speaking, you never know what could happen. I've got tons of riffs. But we're putting the cart before the horse. I like the positivity there, but I don't know how people would react to that either at this point. I think first, let's get out there and establish that we can play. I'm always open to the future."
