BOY GEORGE Went To A NAPALM DEATH Show, Was Impressed

"Totally tight band," he says.

Boy George Napalm Death

Boy George is vocalist for the English new wave band Culture Club, whose massive hits include "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me", "I'll Tumble 4 Ya", and "Karma Chameleon". If you grew up in the '80s or early '90s, you have absolutely heard Culture Club's hits before. Boy George is also apparently a fan of Napalm Death, who helped pioneer grindcore and didn't exactly have any major radio hits. Different strokes, right?

Boy George took to Twitter to praise Napalm Death's September 12 show at The Triffid in Brisbane, Australia, saying the band was tight as hell and that his ears are still ringing. Which is par for the course when it comes to Napalm Death, but still – it's very cool to see someone with a platform like Boy George not only going out and seeing an extreme metal band, but talking about how much he enjoyed the show!

"Saw the noise monsters [Napalm Death] last night and my ears are still ringing. Loved all of the stuff [Napalm Death frontman] Barney had to say. Totally tight band (no other way of saying it, lol) Hey Barney see you at the coffee counter! Comment of the night 'shut up you fresh faced fucker.'"
