Thy Art Is Murder has been out on the road in Europe with vocalist Tyler Miller of Aversions Crown fronting the band in place of the now-fired CJ McMahon. After a handful of shows and even re-recording Godlike prior to its release, Miller has finally spoken on his new position in the band.

"I'm sure all of you are wondering who the fuck I am," said Miller in the below video, as transcribed by Metal Injection. "My name is Tyler Miller. Some of you may know who I am, some of you may not. If not, that's totally fine. It's been kind of a crazy situation. One minute I'm doing nothing in my house, the next minute I'm getting a text and now I'm here.

"Tour's been awesome. We're only a couple of days in. It's been super heavy, super fun, and I'm looking forward to meeting each and every single one of you. Thank you guys so much."

Rumors of Miller's involvement began as soon as Thy Art Is Murder released a statement on McMahon's firing, when fans posited that he was was the vocalist who replaced McMahon on Godlike. Thy Art Is Murder fired McMahon on September 22 and revealed they had removed his vocals from the digital versions of their new album Godlike.

According to a statement from Thy Art Is Murder, the firing was partially due to McMahon's recent anti-trans comments (for which he sorta apologized), which they note were only a symptom of a larger problem. McMahon revealed he found out about his firing through social media, and later published a lengthy statement saying he was forced to apologize. McMahon also revealed that he requested to be fired instead of apologize, saying in part "I actually told the band to fire me as I didn't want to apologise as I didn't have anything to apologise for."
